This painting is of immense color and impasto height. Inspiration came to Ruth from learning how our sleep cycles are affected by the energy wave that shows our body temperature to be physically higher and warmer during the day and a lower and cooler wave at night to sleep.
Our bodies need to have this up and down cycle of being more active during the day, and more sedentary at night so the body can regulate our internal clocks. When we are always stationary day and night, the body doesn't know when to sleep as well, so it uses body temperature as an indication of when to produce Melatonin (for night) or Seratonin (for day).
A sleep therapist explained this to Ruth once when she was having trouble falling asleep with all her creative ideas & internal organ congestion. She then drew out this concept using the warmer and cooler colors of the Color Wheel to illustrate this to help her understand it. The sleep therapist wanted to use her illustration in his works!

The colors of energy translated to this piece differently and creatively, but still with vibrant color, and immense height off the surface with 3-dimension where the energy is more life-like. For a positively higher energy in your space, this painting certainly brightens up the atmosphere with its color and dimension. It also helps to keep one in the state of higher energy that brings all good things to you, by having vibrant colors around you.
