Original Painting
Entirely Thick Acrylics on Gallery Wrapped Stretched Canvas (1&1/2 inch Deep)
Finished Edges
It was Ruth Collis' inspiration to make a painting where zebra stripes would come to life and raise up over an inch high off the canvas surface. How cool it would also be if the stripes were to wrap around the canvas edges to truly show their awesome dimension as well.
Many months of hurdling through challenges, surfaced this highly sculpted zebra painting made entirely out of thick paint and formed by a custom cake decorating tip for a tool to make this one-of-a-kind painting.
There are silver shadows to add further dimension under the stripes that were a challenge to photograph but are seen more in the close up photos. Canvas is still painted white to protect the painting more, add quality, is completely varnished, and wired ready to hang.
Purchase yours now for the most awesome, trendy, and highly desirable painting of dimension to burst the scenes from what the world has never seen possible with thick acrylic paint before. Two other studies have been made. This painting has all the challenges worked out and is a very hot and edgy design.

Goal: Get the stripes to be 3D and wrap around the canvas edges.
Challenges to Overcome:
- Create a tool design that will hold the paint up & not fall over
- Use thick enough paint that will not fall over
- Use durable enough paint that will not chip apart in just handling
- Create the stripes with the least air bubbles
- Hold a giant bag of almost a gallon of heavy paint in hands
- Create the stripes with the least lines or grooves in the paint
- Create the stripes in the longest strips without separating in between
- Make the design wrap around the canvas edges to show the coolness of its dimension
- Dry in another room that won't break hallway plates on the wall in transporting
- Do all this in a confining space & without hitting head on overhead lighting
- Set up camera angles that will show all the makings of this
- Edit footage for sales page
- Find a way to pad the painting front for professional wiring on the back
- Find a way to pad it for shipping that won't injure the paint
- Find a classy background and color that will make the painting stand out in presenting it
- Make the painting stand up for photographing & video but without damaging the bottom stripe
- Market & get seen
- Do it all before Christmas for people to have great presents
